25 July: Good earnings numbers underpin US stocks. US$ soft. NZ T/B & Australian CPI ahead. Otherwise a quiet day.

  US Stock markets put aside the current geopolitical tensions and the fears of a full-blown trade war on Tuesday and rose by 0.2%/0.7%, underpinned by more strong corporate results.
